Some 39 cooperatives of the Moro National Liberation Front in Lanao del Sur (MNLF-LDS) underwent a two-day training on the Pamana capacity building program from January 11-13 held at a Function Hall in the city.
The provincial office here of the Department of Science and Technology of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DOST-ARMM) conducted the training.
Payongan A. Pili, provincial science and technology director, said resource speakers from the Mindanao the University Main Campus (MSU-Main) and from National Food Authority (NFA) were invited to lecture the cooperative members on Micro-Entrepreneurship and Rice Trading Industry respectively.
Director Pili said the role of DOST-ARMM in Pamana is capability building. She said the components of capability building are the conduct of meeting and the conduct of Technology Needs Assessment (TNA).
“After the conduct of technology need assessment,” she stressed, “we hold stakeholder meeting of cooperative members and chairmen, that was what we held last June 2, 2016.”
Pili said the ongoing training is the result of the stakeholders meeting and the technology need assessment conducted by DOST-ARMM enumerators last year.
